Marisa Attard is an artist and illustrator working mostly in pen, ink, watercolour and acrylic. She studied art under Esprit Barthet, Harry Alden and Anton Calleja and has taken part in various collective exhibitions. She has illustrated many children's books and workbooks and was awarded the Premju Letterarju for Best Illustrator of Children's Books in 2002 and 2003.

Her work has appeared in magazines like Saghtar and Modern Elegance and she also designs personalized cards and caricatures for birthdays, graduations and weddings. Her style is fluid and spontaneous and she feels drawn to a strong line and bold colour. Her favourite subject matter is the study of people whether in her caricatures or paintings.
